Rules

First visit should be kept short.  Parents / Caregivers should stay with the child during the first few visits and/or when deemed necessary (adjustment to the Centre, first time separation, toilet training, volunteering, etc.).

Parents / Caregivers are responsible for their children during drop-in visits.  Please be sure to supervise your child, take your child to the toilet and wash his/her hands before snack time.  The Centre Staff's priority is the children who have been dropped off.

Children who are ill, have a fever or other possible contagious condition (rash, etc.) are NOT allowed in the Centre.

In the event of a fire, the children will be walked to the Blackburn Public Library.

Parent / Caregiver must advise the Cantre Staff at the time of drop-off if the child is to be picked up by someone else.  Please give the Staff a contact number during each drop-off visit if the parent / caregiver will be unavailable at home or if the emergency number on file is not appropriate.

Parents / Caregivers may be asked to withdraw a child from the Centre if the child is found to be causing harm to others and/or requires excessive supervision (biting, aggressive behaviour, etc.).

Food and Drinks - Parents / Caregivers provide their children with NUT FREE food and snacks during drop-in and drop-off.  There are occasions when homemade snacks will be served (parties, birthdays, etc.) and cannot be guaranteed nut free.  Please be diligent to inform staff when dropping off children with allergies.

Please do not bring toys from home to the Centre.

Each parent  / caregiver must sign each child in at the front counter and indicate arrival time if any child has any allergies and alternative contact info of parent will not be at the day phone listed on the registration form.

First time visitors must fill out a basic information sheet in case they need to be reached due to contact with illness or other harmful agent.
